Neptune

Neptune is proprietary RPS software and is used under license by Geoguide.

It is a fully functional navigation processing system.

Geoguide use this for first line QC wherein the first accepted line of a survey is sent by FTP to Geoguide for analysis and comment.

The content and structure of the UKOOA P1 & P2 files are checked and the data is parallel processed.

Neptune or other navigation QC packages can be deployed for the processing of all positioning data on surveys where this is deemed necessary.

This normally requires the deployment of additional personnel.
